"Becoming
a place where all generations connect, grow, love, and share
the promise of Jesus with each other and the world."
Connecting:
where authentic relationships are formed. We connect with other
Christians for fellowship and prayer as well as build relationships
with our unchurched friends, neighbors, and co-workers in our
relationship circle.
Growing: where
equipping people to live as followers of Jesus occurs. We grow
with other Christians in our relationship with Jesus. We also
discover and exercise our giftedness in the church and among
the unchurched.
Loving: where
we are renewed, refreshed, and restored through experiencing
Gods love in worship. We love God as we worship Him. We
declare our need and Gods wonderful response in love to
us and the whole world when we worship and serve each other as a Jesus family together.
Sharing: being
overwhelmed by Gods love for us in authentic worship we
naturally want to tell others. Outreach becomes a natural by-product
of a healthy, growing, relationship with Jesus. Not an unhealthy, or "twisting of the arm" approach to sharing our faith.
“Discovering
new relationships, Growing in the promises, Becoming a Jesus family”
Families
At LCC
we believe in strong families. "Families that worship
together stay together" is our motto. Church must
be a place where families come together not separate.
We do not believe in the "church octopus"
that keeps families involved with church stuff 8 nights a
week. Church should be an aid not an obstacle to families
getting closer together.
Relationships
At LCC
we believe the most important "compass" that directs
our lives is the relationships that we have. Keeping
our compass pointed in the right direction means building
meaningful relationships with our family, our church family, and
others outside the church.
Growth
At LCC
growing in our faith is a vital part of the Christian life.
The guiding purpose of growing in our faith is to mature and
equip believers to live in relationship with Jesus, become
a more committed disciple, and fulfill our unique
calling from God.
Our Sunday AM Group
will be corporate and worship focused. Preceding our time of
worship will be a time of fellowship in place of the traditional
Sunday School time. This will help us to build our relationships
as a family of Christians and create a warm, inviting atmosphere
for our guests.
Our Grow Groups,
will be our small group ministry. These groups will include
but not be limited to Bible study, discipleship, youth, children,
new member etc They will be scheduled during the week
at a member's home. The guiding purpose of these groups are
to mature and equip believers to live in relationship with Jesus,
become a more committed disciple, and fulfill their unique calling
"every member a missionary."
Our Family
Groups will be a time to build relationships with our family,
church family, or an unchurched family. Family Groups are just another way to be deliberate in building realtionship with each other. TImes will vary but the important thing is spending time with each other. We believe a healthy
church has healthy families. If a family needs time with each
other, this is the night. This is also the night to build stronger
bonds with other Christians in our church. Or, this is the night
to invite a friend, neighbor, or co-worker over to build relationships
with those who have no faith walk with Jesus Christ.
